Sep 22 – GSD Election Candidates To Be Announced On Thursday
The GSD has completed the selection process of candidates that will represent the party at the next General Election.
The new candidates will be announced to GSD members this week at the John Mackintosh Hall at 7pm on Thursday.
Although some of the candidates are already familiar and have entered the political arena as spokespersons in recent months, the party says that others are “fresh faces that will reinvigorate the party with their fresh ideas and passion.”
Party Leader Daniel Feetham said: “I was delighted to see so many people put themselves forward for nomination; people who are keen to serve Gibraltar for the next four years and ready to work with me to take our remarkable community forward together.
“I want to also take this opportunity to thank the Deputy Leader of the party, Damon Bossino for all he has done in the last four years. He has made a substantial contribution to the GSD and Gibraltar. I have little doubt that he will make a further contribution to public life and will one day return to front line politics. He will have my personal support should he do so.”
