Oct 02 – Number Six: “GSD’s Campaign To Derail The New Power Station Is Irresponsible”
The Government says that it has clearly explained that full details on the new LNG power station and storage facilities will be given when the full safety assessment on the final details have been received. Number Six says that any information given before this will be “inaccurate” and therefore to release any such information would be “irresponsible”.
Minister for Energy, Dr John Cortes, said: “Releasing information before we have received a full final safety assessment would be as irresponsible as the GSD’s campaign of scaremongering and their attempts to derail this vital infrastructure project that will transform Gibraltar and our quality of life. They are trying to blind the public with statistics based on unsubstantiated assumptions – something that has become a habit for them. The people of Gibraltar can see through their desperate ploys.”
