Nov 04 – GSD Distribute Leaflet To Borders And Coastguard Agency Staff
Members of the GSD have distributed a leaflet to staff at the Borders And Coastguard Agency. The leaflet outlines the party’s plans to accept the employee interpretation of a Collective Agreement, address manning level issues and ensure that the Agency is able to fulfill its original intended role and take on full Coastguard duties.
The leaflet says that the Borders and Coastguard Agency is a GSD creation which has over the past four years become (along with the Building Works Agency and the Highways Enforcement Officers) the “Forgotten Agencies and Employees” which have been “run down for no other reason than being creations and initiatives of the GSD.”
The leaflet concludes: “Together we can return the Agency to what it was intended, delivering a professional and proficient workforce adequate for Gibraltar’s ‘Frontline’. A fair deal for both Agency employees and Gibraltar.”
