Dec 10 – ERG To Publish Human Rights Report On Gibraltar

Today, Equality Rights Group marks International Human Rights Day by announcing that, early in the new year, which will be the 16^th year since its foundation in 2000, ERG will be publishing a “wide-ranging review of the state of human rights” in Gibraltar.

The group says that it is fitting that it make this announcement on the day in 1948 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

A statement continued: “We aim to publish a full and independent report on where Gibraltar stands right across the board. The report will be made available to Government, the political parties, local and international media, civil society organisations and individuals.

“We welcome any input and participation from the community at large, and are open to inclusion of themes and issues people from within civil society may feel ought to be reported upon.
