Feb 22 - GSD “Stands By Cameron On EU Deal”

The GSD says that, having watched developments over the EU Referendum unfold very closely over recent days, it welcomes the fact that the referendum has now been set for 23rd June.

The party says it is important for the sake of certainty for the referendum to take place as soon as possible adding that the deal negotiated by David Cameron “is good for Britain and good for Gibraltar.”

The GSD yesterday congratulated David Cameron on the deal he has secured for Britain. The party says it stands ready alongside the Government of Gibraltar to support the 'In' campaign.

A statement concluded: “Working together, as has been advocated by Leader of the Opposition Daniel Feetham for the past three years, is clearly in the best interest of Gibraltar and that remains the position of the GSD.

“Gibraltar must speak with one voice and work together on this subject.”
