Feb 24 - Mars Recall In Gibraltar

Mars products are imported into Gibraltar through both UK and Spanish distributors. The Environmental Agency has contacted the three local importers of the products and they have all recalled all the affected products from sale.

The recall is being undertaken as a precautionary measure in connection with products produced only in the Netherlands (Veghel) due to the possibilityof plastic contamination. The recall of the products is as a result of a piece of plastic found in one of their products. The Company has said that this is an isolated incident and that only varieties of chocolate, pack formats or bar sizes detailed below are affected.

The Environmental Agency is in contact with the local importers and the Food Standards Agency UK and will be providing updates on any further developments. Consumers who have purchased any of the above mentioned products are advised not to consume them and to return the product to the establishment of purchase.
