Jun 23 - Picardo: EU Vote Will Determine Future Of Gibraltar
Today’s EU referendum vote will determine the future of Gibraltar according to the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo.
Addressing a large media scrum outside Central Hall after casting his vote, he said: “Today we are seeing Gibraltar vote in peace as it always does when the festival of democracy comes to town. Today is not a day to campaign - everybody knows which side I am backing. Today instead is a day which will see people express their view to determine the future of the United Kingdom and this nation of ours.”
Mr Picardo also thanked all the civil servants and other public officials involved in the organisation and smooth running of today’s vote.
