Jun 28 - Picardo And Garcia In London Meetings

The Chief Minister Fabian Picardo and the Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia left for London yesterday for a series of political meetings.

This includes a meeting with the Minister for Europe, David Lidington, for ongoing discussion of Government business.

On Tuesday evening the Chief Minister will host a reception in the Speaker's Rooms of the House of Commons in honour of Albert Poggio. Mr Poggio will be retiring as UK Representative of the Gibraltar Government and as Director of Gibraltar House at the end of the month.

During the absence of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Dr John Cortes will be the Acting Chief Minister.
