Nov 09 - GSD Invites Public To Put Forward Issues For Debate
The GSD has invited members of the public to get in touch with its Members of Parliament or the GSD headquarters to let them know what issues they would like the GSD to consider putting forward for debate in Parliament.
The Leader of the Opposition, Daniel Feetham, said:
“Over the last year we have filed motions for debate in Parliament on a regular basis; from public debt, to the importance of a public accounts committee, to co-education and training we are not only raising awareness on important issues but also setting out what our vision is in relation to them.
“This is a real break with the past. It is, however, important that the public is also engaged in the process and we want to hear from members of the public as what issues they would want us to take up and debate in Parliament. It is important for politicians to listen and to debate issues which matter to people.”
