Dec 14 - GSD: Meeting On £300 Million Housing Estates Loan Set For Next Month
The Chief Minister has written to the Opposition proposing a date of 23 January 2017 to host a meeting in respect of the nature of the £300 million loan secured on the six housing estates.
In lieu of answering tabled official Parliamentary questions on 22nd September 2016, the Chief Minister offered to host a meeting with its technical advisers and Members of the Opposition in order to provide the detailed information that had been requested on the £300 million loan. This offer was accepted by the Opposition in the interests of expediency and on condition that non–commercially sensitive information could be disclosed to the public.
Roy Clinton GSD MP with shadow responsibility for public finance said:
“Despite the delay in organising the meeting, I naturally welcome that a date has now been set to meet the Government’s technical advisors and I look forward to meeting them and finding out more about the terms of the £300 million loan.”
