Feb 07 - Unite The Union Reassures Master Services Members Following Meeting With Chief Minister

Unite the Union and the Government of Gibraltar are committed to ensuring none of the Master Services workers will lose their current terms and conditions, including pay, if any other company were to be successful in their tender bid for cleaning services.

This was confirmed following a meeting held last Friday at Number Six with the Chief Minister.

A spokesman for the Union said: “The same guarantees were given in a meeting held on Monday the 6th of January by Min Dr John Cortes to a delegation of Unite members.

“It was also made clear that the current workforce at Master Services would all remain under the one successful company and not divided or deployed into different companies across the sector.

“Unite is fully committed in supporting all it members at Master Service and will continue to make representations in order to ensure that they get the best possible deals through this crucial transitional time.”
