July 03 - RAF Says “No Evidence” To Suggest Spanish Jets Entered Gib Airspace
In a separate press statement, RAF Gibraltar have issued the following:
At 1048am today the BA Flight to London Heathrow was held on the runway for approximately 12 minutes by Air Traffic Control in Seville to allow Spanish aircraft to pass by in Spanish air space.
A flight of 4 Spanish Matador aircraft recovered to the aircraft carrier Juan Carlos which is operating some Ten Nautical Miles South East of the Rock. In doing so they approached the Rock from the North West and turned to the East to avoid Gibraltar during their descent.
There is no evidence to suggest that the aircraft flew into Gibraltar air space.
