Aug 07 - Government: Gibraltar Remains ‘Rock Solid’ For Tourist Breaks
According to the Government, the current difficulties at the border with Spain are not having any impact on the local tourist product or on the quality of Gibraltar as a top tourist destination.
Minister for Tourism Neil Costa has stated that it is “business as usual” for his department and that the enjoyment of everything that Gibraltar has to offer has not been impaired by recent developments. The Rock is in great shape and ready to receive hundreds of thousands of visitors during the summer.
“We remain an attractive resort in the Mediterranean, with outstanding offerings in history and heritage, a wonderful nightlife and quality leisure amenities. Gibraltar is an ideal city-break destination and we look forward to welcoming all those who decide to experience our unique tourist product.”
Naturally, Gibraltar’s air and sea traffic continues to operate normally.
