Aug 08 - Navy “Rapid Reaction Force” To Visit Gibraltar
It has been announced that a “rapid reaction force” led by the HMS Illustrious and two frigates will set sail for the Mediterranean on Monday and stop off at Gibraltar.
Although it is described as a routine naval exercise that had been planned for months, such a large naval presence in the Bay will surely raise some eyebrows at a time of heightened tensions.
