Aug 28 - Hague Welcomes Picardo On UK Visit

Foreign Secretary William Hague today welcomed Chief Minister Fabian Picardo to London.

A statement released by the UK Government this morning claimed that the visit reaffirmed the strong bonds between the UK and Gibraltar as well as the UK’s commitment to stand by the people of Gibraltar.

The statement added, ‘Mr Picardo’s visit has provided an opportunity for a series of detailed meetings on issues including the unacceptable delays at the Spanish/Gibraltar border.’

Mr Picardo is set to meet with Prime Minister David Cameron tomorrow.
