Sep 12 - New Dossier for Spain Incidents to be Compiled by Government

frontierThe Government is compiling a further dossier of incidents that Gibraltarians and other residents have suffered in Spain since the end of July and is appealing to the public to send in the details of such incidents.

This should include actual instances or threats of violence and aggression towards persons or property including vehicles.

The cases can include experiences of rude, abusive or intimidating behaviour on the basis that the persons being abused is from Gibraltar, has a connection with Gibraltar or was driving a Gibraltar-registered vehicle.

This aggressive behaviour can be on the part of officials or of ordinary citizens on the other side of the frontier.

The date, time and location of the incident should be given, along with a description of what actually occurred. The complainant should give their name, address, nationality and contact details.

Anyone having photographs, video and audio recordings of the incidents should include them.

Those persons who want to complain should do so by email to: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by telephone to 20011777.

The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia said that this is a separate dossier that is being compiled for a specific purpose. However, if anyone has already filled in a frontier complaints form and included details of such incidents there is no need to do so again.
