Oct 07 - Chief Minister to Meet with Congress During US Visit
Chief Minister Fabian Picardo left yesterday for a visit to the United States, during which he will visit Washington DC for several meetings. During his time in Washington DC Mr. Picardo will meet members of Congress, as well as the Gibraltarian students on the Internship Programme.
On Tuesday Mr Picardo flies on to New York where, accompanied by the Deputy Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary, he will address the UN’s Fourth Committee.
Six students from Bayside, Westside and the Gibraltar College will travel with the Chief Minister throughout his visit to Washington and New York.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia will act as Chief Minister until Tuesday and then the Hon John Cortes will act as Chief Minister until Friday.
