Oct 07 - Chief Minister Meets With UN Visit Students
The Chief Minister left Gibraltar yesterday for a visit to the United States. He first flies to Washington DC where he will have several meetings, at least one of which will be at the Congress. He will also meet Gibraltarian students on the Internship Program.
On Tuesday Mr Picardo flies on to New York where, accompanied by the Deputy Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary, he will address the UN’s Fourth Committee.
Six students from Bayside, Westside and the Gibraltar College will travel with the Chief Minister throughout his visit to Washington and New York. This morning the Chief Minister had breakfast with Minister Gilbert Licudi, Dr Joey Britto and the students.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia will act as Chief Minister until Tuesday and then the Hon John Cortes will act as Chief Minister until Friday.
