Nov 01 - Guns Pointed During Guardia Civil – Royal Navy Incident
Speaking in the house of Lords today on Wednesday’s incident involving a collision between Guardia Civil vessel Rio Tormes and a Gibraltar Defence police boat in BGTW, Conservative peer Baroness Hooper claimed that ‘guns were pointed at each other’ during the incident, although no shots were fired.
The BBC has this afternoon reported that a Foreign Office spokesperson has insisted that the Royal Navy operators, of the HMS Scimitar followed appropriate operational procedures. The spokesperson added that the incident is being raised at a high level with the Spanish Government.
