Jan 27 - GSD Worries Over Growing Physiotherapy Waiting Time
It has come to the attention of the GSD Opposition, from answers to questions in Parliament that the waiting time for Physiotherapy treatment has more than tripled since December 2011, to 20 weeks, as has the number of people on the list waiting for Physiotherapy treatment, there are now 384 people awaiting Physiotherapy treatment.
Isobel Ellul-Hammond, Opposition Spokesman for Health asks the Minister for Health to explain this growing trend and the measures being introduced to address this.
The data is as follows, in response to Written Question number 5/2014:
At December 2011: 6 weeks waiting time, 98 people on the waiting list
At December 2012: 12 weeks waiting time, 228 people on the waiting list
At December 2013: 20 weeks waiting time, 384 people on the waiting list
