Jul 02 - Government: GSD’s “Thin Skin” Breaks Over Netto Tweet
The Government has said that Mr Feetham and the GSD have “developed an extraordinary thin skin” and now seem to find that even a description of someone's speech as "boring" is somehow improper or unfair.
This, says a statement from Number Six, is in stark contrast to the way in which they behaved when in Government and continue to behave in Opposition when they call anyone who speaks out against them all sorts of nasty names. According to the Government, "Boring" is “a much gentler remark” than "incompetent", "unfit to govern" or some of the other choice names it says the GSD choose to call members of the Government.
The Government says it makes no apology for what it describes as its “accurate and precise description of Mr Netto's speech.”
A Government statement concluded: “Now that they are in Opposition the members of the GSD need to grow a slightly thicker skin and concentrate on things that matter and not act as victims at the first opportunity in order to try to win sympathy from a public that will not forget how vicious they were in Government!
“It is to be regretted that the GSD has chosen to issue statements on a subject as irrelevant as this, leaving Government with no choice but to respond.”
