Oct 07 - Garcia Raises Frontier Issues with Clegg
The Deputy Chief Minister Dr Joseph Garcia briefly raised the delays at the border with the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg at the Gibraltar stand during the Liberal Democrat conference in Glasgow. Dr Garcia thanked Mr Clegg for personally pressing the European Commission on the issue.
Also attending the conference are Ministers Neil Costa and Steven Linares as well as Gibraltar's UK Representative Albert Poggio.
The Gibraltar delegation attended a special briefing for international guests on the coming UK elections in May 2015. There are 110 diplomats from different countries attached to this conference. There was also the opportunity to listen to the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, Chief Secretary to the Treasury Danny Alexander and Secretary of State for Business Vince Cable.
