Oct 16 - Unite Pleased With MOD Job Security Announcement
Unite the Union says it is extremely pleased with the announcement made in Parliament today by the Chief Minister regarding job security in the MoD and the Gibraltar Regiment for the foreseeable future and, more importantly, beyond the end of the Global Agreement in 2017.
Furthermore, Unite is also glad to hear that the transfer of the DFRS to the Gibraltar Government will finally be concluded. This will be welcoming news for DFRS Personnel, says Unite, who will “see light at the end of the tunnel” in a process that has lasted close to seven years.
This follows what Unite describes as a “difficult year” for MoD workers adding that the news will surely be well received by Unite members at large.
