Dec 11 - Glacis Estate Rain Damage Paid for by Contractor
In response to GSD spokesperson for Housing, Edwin Reyes’ claims that a number of homes in Glacis Estate were affected by rainwater recently the Government has insisted that it is the fault of years of neglect under the GSD administration that has led to the recent flagship refurbishment of the estate.
Commenting on the matter, a Government spokesperson added that the contractors replaced any items of furniture that were damaged, after accepting responsibility for the issue. The Government further adds that despite Mr. Reyes’ claims, only a handful of minor Health and Safety incidents incidents have occurred on Gibraltar’s many building sites. It is also noted that whilst the works at Glacis have been ongoing for over two and a half years, each block has been affected for less than half the time.
