Jan 08 - Feetham Calls for Published List of Tenderers

The Opposition has insisted once again that Bizzy Bee did not submit the lowest tender bid for works at Varyl Begg This comes in response to the Government’s claim that its allocation of contracts is limited to the Approved Contractor List which was set up by the former GSD Government.

The party has asked the Government to publish a full list of tenderers and the amounts tendered by each including ‘why any lower bids were not accepted by the Government’. Opposition leader Daniel Feetham noted that ‘whilst the tender document asked companies to also quote for the asphalt/tarmac part of the job, some tenderers were told by officials not to do so.’

Mr. Feetham added that any future GSD Government is committed to publishing full lists of tenders and reasons why particular tenders are chosen.
