May 11 - Gibraltar Welcomes Re-Appointed Secretaries Of State For Foreign Office And Defence

The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, has congratulated the two Ministers of State with direct Constitutional relevance to Gibraltar on their re-appointments by the Prime Minister, Rt Hon David Cameron MP, namely:

The Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP as Foreign Secretary; and

The Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP as Defence Secretary.

Mr Picardo tweeted: "Many & sincere congratulations to @PHammondMP on remaining Foreign Secretary. He has already shown he is a good friend of Gibraltar," and "Great news: Michael Fallon still Sec of State for Defence! He knows Gib well and has already shown he understands our strategic importance."
