May 13 - Chief Minister Congratulates Lidington
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, has congratulated David Lidington on his re-appointment as UK Minister for Europe by Prime Minister David Cameron.
Mr Picardo said: "I am genuinely personally delighted to see David Lidington re-appointed as UK Minister for Europe. We have much work to do together now and I look forward to continuing working with him on all matters related to Gibraltar and our continuing EU membership. The Prime Minister David Cameron, has in my view absolutely made the right decision to keep Mr Lidington in this key post now that the relationships he has built across the EU will yield real benefits to the UK as a whole in the run-up to the Referendum. I have expressed my sincere congratulations to David directly."
