Jun 04 - Minister Bossano Attends Launch Of Monaco Telecom Data Centre
Minister Bossano has attended the launch of Monaco Telecom’s first Data Centre, at the invitation of the Government of Monaco.
During his short stay in Monaco, Minister Bossano held a two hour meeting with Minister Gramaglia, who has responsibility for Telecommunications and Inward Investment. During this meeting, areas of possible cooperation were explored, in addition to a closer link between Gibtelecom and Monaco Telecom. The Government of Monaco shares the same degree of interest as the Government of Gibraltar in strengthening the links between our two countries and exploring possible areas of cooperation.
There has already been cooperation for some years between Monaco Telecom and Gibtelecom, at a commercial and professional level. These links have enabled access to the Europe - India cable.
During the reception and presentation at the Data Centre, Minister Bossano also took the opportunity to talk to the Minister for Economic Development and the Planning Minister.
Following this initial contact, it is intended to seek ways to develop this relationship, both in encouraging the exchanges between the two telecom companies and in exploring other possible areas of cooperation.
