Jun 11 - ESG Says LNG Report Findings Are “Very Concerning”

The ESG says that it attended yesterday’s press conference organised by the GSD who delivered the Lloyd’s LNG Report. While it says that it is still digesting the report, the ESG says it considers that the key findings by Lloyd’s show that such a facility would create unacceptably high levels of risk to the community and are “very concerning”.

The group says it has called upon Government for factual and technical reports to be published on the use of LNG for the new power station for “a considerable time now.”

The group says that the Lloyd’s Report should prompt the Government to now make available its own supporting safety documentation.

The ESG says it will be publishing a fuller response to the report in due course.
