Jun 22 - Power Cut On Saturday Night

The power cut which affected seven districts on Saturday night at approximately 10pm for 15 minutes was caused by the two generators in the Spark Energy South District power station tripping and causing the falling frequency to activate.

Spark Energy have not released any information of the failure of these generators although the Gibraltar Electricity Authority understand that the failure could attributed to one of the generators tripping on overheating.
