Jun 26 - Government’s Response To Spark
The Government notes the latest statement from the Spark Group of Companies. The Chief Minister says that he has made the Government’s position on this issue “extremely clear” during his addresses in Parliament on the subject.
The Government says that its investigations in this respect are continuing and its lawyers have been instructed in respect of the matter.
A statement from Number Six concluded:
“The Government also notes that Spark are denying any intentional involvement in the power cuts. As the Chief Minister said in Parliament yesterday, Spark had previously also denied any involvement in the preparation of the Lloyd’s Register Report - a denial that has since proved to be without foundation.”
