Jul 24 - Government Says Feetham Wants Taxpayer Cash For Himself

The Government notes that Leader of the Opposition Daniel Feetham thinks it is wrong that the Chief Minister should be indemnified from public funds for the costs involved in having to defend himself against the scandalous allegation made by Mr Feetham’s supporter Gareth Gingell.

A statement from No6 said: "Mr Feetham nonetheless asked in Parliament how he might access taxpayers’ money to sue the Chief Minister for defamation because he didn't like the Chief Minister's Budget Reply. So in effect, Mr Feetham likes the sound of taxpayer's money being used for defamation actions by him but not against him or his supporters.

"This is typical of his style of ‘do as I say but not as I do!’ Mr Feetham and some in the GSD just don't know what they stand for anymore, even on discreet issues such as this."
