The Government has said that Mr Montiel “appears not to have understood” why the Court has dismissed what it describes as his “spurious claim” that he was entitled to be employed as a Civil Servant once he ceased to be a minister.
Gibraltar’s New Movement has said that it is “extremely disappointed” by the comments made by the Governor when he described the 2006 Gibraltar Constitution as an ‘overreaction’ to the failed Joint Sovereignty talks.
The GSD notes the recent Alzheimer’s and Dementia Awareness Day in Gibraltar and the fact that the ‘Gibraltar Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society’ have been raising awareness all week to better inform the public of the impact this illness brings, to try and dispel some of the stigma surrounding it, how every year it affects more and more people and that the society has asked for Government to make Dementia a priority in the political agenda.
Yesterday, the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, left Gibraltar to attend the Labour Party Conference in Manchester.
