Sep 18 - MoU Signed Between Gibraltar Youth Service And RGP

The Gibraltar Youth Service and Royal Gibraltar Police have this morning signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The purpose of the MoU is to formalise the working relationship between both parties, in particular to provide an agreed framework with respect to the exchange of information regarding the safeguarding of young persons, as well as to create new areas of work in the promotion of youngsters’ interests and development.

This document heralds and commits to writing the important ongoing partnership between these organisations including the provision of mutual assistance and cooperation. Both agencies says they appreciate the importance of each individual child, as well as the benefits of young people being healthy, staying safe, enjoying a caring, stable and economically prosperous life, achieving goals and generally being interested stakeholders and making a positive contribution to the society they form part of.

The signing of the MoU also embodies the RGP’s continuing commitment to ‘reach out’ to young people in order to ‘break down’ any barriers which may currently exist between them.
