Sep 25 - Launch Of The Interreg South West Europe Programme
Under the new 2014-2020 European Territorial Co-operation Programmes there will be an official launch seminar taking place in Santander, Spain on the 7th & 8th October 2015, to inaugurate the SUDOE Programme. Gibraltar represents the United Kingdom as the Member State in this Programme. The other participating countries are France, Portugal, Spain and Andorra.
The Director of the European Union Programmes Secretariat, Mr Charles Collinson, has been invited as a speaker at the opening of this seminar and to take part in the roundtable to present the Programme. He will be accompanied by the local Interreg Co-ordinator, Mr Henry Casciaro.
This European Funding Programme focuses on five thematic objectives namely: Research and Innovation, SME Competitiveness, Low Carbon Economy, Climate Change and the efficient use of Environmental Resources. The Programme will have a series of project calls for potential partners from the Member States. The first of these is already under way as the first step in project selection. Potential partners from a minimum of two participating countries from either public or private bodies are welcome to register their interest.
