Nov 06 - Authors And Science Museum Members To Visit Local Schools Next Week
Members from the prestigious British Science Museum are once again visiting Gibraltar and conducting a series of experiments throughout the week commencing Monday 9th November 2015 at the Ince’s Hall and at various schools in Gibraltar for the benefit of school children.
These science sessions will allow the pupils to enjoy a fun science learning experience that will reinforce and consolidate the science curriculum already taught in schools in Gibraltar.
This same week will also include a visit from a number of distinguished authors as part of the Gibraltar Literary Festival. Organisers say that children in schools are surely going to enjoy and be engaged in an activities week that will no doubt be a very busy and worthwhile experience.
The Department of Education and the Government of Gibraltar says they would like to thank the Kusuma Trust for once again sponsoring these very fruitful and educational events.
The Minister for Education, Gilbert Licudi, said: "These initiatives are essential as they contribute significantly to the educational journey of every child, whether by interacting with Science outside the boundaries of the classroom, or meeting authors and discussing books to awaken a love of reading. We are, therefore, extremely grateful to those who have made this possible."
