Nov 20 - New Cavalcade Arrangements Mean Only Miss Gibraltar And Princesses Will Parade
The Three Kings' Cavalcade has made new arrangements as far as the participation of Beauty Pageant winners at the Cavalcade are concerned. The committee has announced that it will only allow the official pageant Miss Gibraltar and her two princesses to parade in their official cars. No other cars will be accepted and the Royal Gibraltar Police have been duly informed.
A statement continued: “A meeting has been held with all beauty pageant organisers and informed of the new arrangements. All Beauty Pageant organisers have been invited to construct a themed float for the 2016 event. These changes have come about after the committee felt that the Cavalcade looked more like a beauty pageant parade with so many cars with 'Misses'. It is even more evident when few floats participate like this year.
“The Committee hopes that event organisers like Glamour Creations, Ideal Productions and others will join in the spirit of the Cavalcade by producing a themed float. It also urges Sports and Social Clubs, Dance Clubs, Associations and Organisations, Housing Estates, Schools, Companies or even groups of friends to participate and make this another memorable cavalcade, both for those thousands who line Main Street as well as for those who participate.”
The Committee is ready to organise the next cavalcade which will take place on Tuesday 5th January 2016. Anyone who would like to enter a float is kindly requested to contact Eric Abudarham on Tel 57586000.
