May 09 - Gibraltar Women’s Association AGM Highlights Achievements
At a recently held AGM the Gibraltar Women’s Association’s (GWA) out-going Chair, Amber Turner, presented a report on the association’s very busy and productive 50th anniversary year.
Ms Turner highlighted a number of the GWA’s achievements including its new logo, the launch of the GWA website (www.gwa.gi), the growth of its membership and the 50th anniversary celebrations.
In the year ahead the GWA Committee says it looks forward to establishing more frequent meetings with its membership and to the unveiling of the statue celebrating the Women of Gibraltar (to be erected on the Queensway roundabout opposite Britannia House) as announced by Chief Minister Fabian Picardo at the GWA’s 50th anniversary celebrations back in February.
The GWA says it would like to thank all out-going committee members for their hard work and commitment and its membership for its continued support. It would also like to welcome two new committee members, Christiane Williamson Fa and Catriona Macniven to the GWA.
