May 16 - Heritage Trust Painting / Drawing Competition This Saturday - Details
The Gibraltar Heritage Trust will be holding its annual open-air painting/sketching competition on Saturday 21st May. The theme this year is “Northern Defences” (any aspect/feature).
Registration of participants will take place at The Road to the Lines entrance on the day as from 9.30am until 12 noon. Copies of the Rules will be issued on registration or can be downloaded from the Trust’s website.
Painting/sketching must take place between 9:30am and 5pm. Any type of artistic media will be accepted. On completion, participants will be required to hand in their entries to a representative of the Gibraltar Heritage Trust at the Trust Office at 13 John Mackintosh Square. All entries must be handed in by 5:15pm.
The competition is divided into three groups:
Adults (aged 17 and over), Juniors (aged 11 to 16) and Children (aged 10 and under).

The announcement of winners and the presentation of prizes and the official opening of the exhibition will be on Wednesday the 22nd of June Wednesday at the John Mackintosh Hall
The competition, which is now in its twentieth seventh year, is one of the most popular events in the Trust’s programme. The Trust hopes it will attract the usual high number of participants.
