Jun 02 – Gun Salute To Mark Queen’s Coronation Anniversary

A 21-Gun Salute took place at midday today to mark the anniversary of Her Majesty’s Coronation in 1953.

The Inspecting Officer was the Deputy Chief Minister – this is the first time Dr Joseph Garcia ha undertaken this duty.

Dr Garcia said it was important that the gun salute had taken place from the Grand Battery which has served as a major line of defence for the Rock for almost 300 years.
