Jun 22 - BFBS Has A New Home After Over 20 Years At Rooke

Yesterday saw the official opening of the new BFBS Radio Station at Oyster Cottage in 4 Corners.

BFBS has been at Rooke Camp for over 20 years and have moved to their new location under Project Euston as part of the MOD's decant out of Rooke, following the transfer of land to the Government of Gibraltar.

The ceremony yesterday was started by Pete Murray-Jones who played the Pipes to set the scene before children from St Christopher's School sang some crowd-pleasing songs. Station Manager Gini Carlin welcomed the guest before handing over to the CEO of SSVC, Simon Bucks.

Commander British Forces then unveiled the plaque to mark the official opening of the new station.
