Jul 20 - First Miss Cover Girl Show To Be Held On Saturday

On Saturday night, nine girls will be taking part in the first Miss Cover Girl competition at the Alameda Open Air Theatre.

The girls, aged 11-14, have been working towards perfecting their routines for the night. Transitions Dance Academy will be performing on the night, Flash Boutique will be holding a fashion show to show off the latest trends and Kimberley Bautista, who was a runner up in Runway’s New Designer Competition, will be featuring her flamenco and matador-inspired styles on stage.

Organisers Kelvin Hewitt and Karess Zammitt from No1 Models and K & K School of Models, said the girls have been a pleasure to work with.

Karess added: “This is a great way of getting young girls involved, so that they’re motivated to do more than just going to the beach or going to the fair.

“The girls have done fantastically well and they are more like sisters than friends, they’ve taken to each other very well and are having lots of fun.”

Money raised will go towards Fighting Leukemia With Fashion and the money will be given to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Gibraltar.

The show starts at 8.30pm and the organisers are asking everyone to be seated by 8.15pm.

There are still tickets available to purchase at the door for £15 each.
