Sep 14 - More Than 100 Dancers Take Part In Dance Extravaganza

A Dance Extravaganza organised by the Gibraltar National Dance Organisation was held recently at the Ince’s Hall Theatre. It brought together dance schools and groups from Gibraltar and the surrounding area.

The night was a complete success giving a good overall picture of the standards of dance and what is being achieved locally.

It also gave an opportunity to the many young people, to share similar experiences and make friends with Spanish counterparts. The event that promoted dance, proved to be an excellent evening of entertainment with a theatre packed to full capacity and over 100 dancers taking part.

The participants at this year’s Extravaganza included:

CCC Sequence Dance, Academia de Baile Nando Perez from La Linea, DSA Sequence Dance, Gibraltar Academy of Dance, Nicole Victor, Adrian Lopez, Mediterranean Dance Group, Show Dance Company, Stylos Dance Academy and Transitions Dance Academy.

The monies raised at this event through ticket sales and the raffle will go towards the Gibraltar National Dance Team’s participation at the 2016 World Jazz and Modern Championships and the World Show Dance Championships organised under the auspices of the International Dance Organisation (IDO).
