Oct 17 – HMS Diamond Arrives Today
HMS Diamond will stop off in Gibraltar today for a short visit to allow routine re-provisioning to take place.
The Type 45 destroyer is returning from deployment in support of Operation SOPHIA in the Mediterranean. HMS Diamond’s role is to locate, intercept and board vessels suspected of smuggling illegal arms.
HMS Diamond will set sail tomorrow to return to her home port.
