Nov 16 - New Public Counter For Gibraltar Electricity Authority
The Gibraltar Electricity Authority’s (GEA) new public counter was inaugurated yesterday by the Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, in the presence of the Minister for Education, Heritage, Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Dr John Cortes.
The new public counter, located at the Consumer Services Office, 4-8 Rosia Road, is modern, clean, attractive and fitting of the 21st Century. The GEA says that it customers, and catering for all their individual needs, has been one of the main drivers of this project.
The counter is fully accessible. Provisions have been made to allow employees to better exercise their competencies when dealing with all our customers, in particular those who require special assistance, through the incorporation of a low-level counter accessible to wheelchair users, and an audio system with induction loop which will enhance microphone sound for those users that rely on hearing aids.
The public counter opening hours are Mondays to Thursdays, from 08:30 to 15:00, and Fridays, from 08:30 to 14:30.
