Nov 30 - Making Premises Accessible – Workshops
A series of workshops on ‘Making Premises Accessible’ organised by the Ministry of Equality are this week being delivered to the public and private sector by Ian Streets, Managing Director of About Access.
Minister for Equality, Samantha Sacramento, opened today’s half-day seminar aimed at the private sector as part of the Equality Means Business at the O’Callaghan Elliot Hotel.
Minister Sacramento emphasized to a packed room the importance of inclusion and of accessible premises and of the obligations under the new buildings legislation due to come into force in the new year. The training sessions have so far received a positive response from both the public and private sector attendees.
