Jan 19 - Unite The Union Meets With Grand Home Care

Unite the Union has had an initial meeting with Grand Home Care this week and have agreed to put forward the points of contention.

A spokesman for the Union said: “We are looking forward to engaging in negotiations next week in our follow up meeting.

“Our delegation was welcomed by Grand Home Care management with the view of beginning negotiations and cooperating.”

Earlier this week, Grand Home Care rejected allegations of poor working conditions including subjecting their members of staff to threats and harassment from management. The company was also accused of hiring staff on “zero hour” contracts, not giving staff certificates from mandatory training to improve their skills, and not allowing them to seek employment with competing firms.
