Apr 26 – Fines Will Be Reimbursed For Pay And Display Machines At Peter Isola Promenade

Due to an administrative oversight from Gibraltar Car Parks Limited, the Pay & Display Zone recently set up at Peter Isola Promenade by the new Mid Harbours Small Boat Marina was not Gazetted prior to the area becoming operational as a designated Pay & Display Zone, as required by the Traffic (Parking and Waiting) Regulations 2011.

In view of the above, the Government has issued instruction for Gibraltar Car Parks Limited to reimburse all the fines money raised during the period up to and including 12 April 2017 to the members of the public who during this period have received a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN). Gibraltar Car Parks Limited will therefore allow members of the public to seek reimbursement during a four week period up until and inclusive of Monday 1st June 2017. GCPL will also be writing shortly to all such persons to explain how they will be reimbursed.

Gibraltar Car Parks Limited will donate monies collected from these Pay & Display machines during the period up to and including 12 April 2017, together with all unclaimed FPN reimbursements to charity as a gesture of good will.

Gibraltar Car Parks Limited has apologised for the inconvenience that this oversight may have caused to members of the public.
