Oct 10 - Fire Safety Personnel Attend Fire Investigation Course In The UK

Two members of the Fire Safety Department have successfully completed a Practical Development Refresher course on Fire and Arson Investigation.

The intensive three-day program was conducted by Gardiner Associates Training & Research in Cambridge.

The program is designed for experienced fire practitioners and includes interactive theory sessions workshop and practical exercises, focusing on the SFJA Level 5 Certificate in Fire Investigation.

The program also includes methodical examination of fire compartments and vehicles and sessions dealing with forensic challenges, fatal fires, information gathering, documentation and photography.

During the three day course the participants received expert knowledge and once again managed to exercise their awareness through real time training.

This course will prepare Sub/O Golding and L/FF McComb with the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding required as a Fire Investigator in order to meet the department expectations.
