Feb 19 - Unite Holds Shop Steward Nominations
Unite the Union, the biggest Union both in the UK and Gibraltar, has carried out its triennial Shop Steward nominations.
A Unite spokesman has hailed the process a success, with over 180 nominations which is an all-time record, for the local branch of Unite.
On the 28th February, Unite will hold a conference in which all applicants for the position of Shop Steward will be invited and elections will take place for its constitutional committees.
A new Area Executive Committee will be elected on the day, together with the now vacant positions of Convenors.
Unite will be also filling the position of observer to the Executive Council in the UK.
Unite would like to thank all outgoing Shop Stewards and Convenors, who have decided not to stand for the next triennial period.
